Staying Active

As situations change, I often find that I need to adapt my exercise routines. For example, lately, I have noticed that while light movements and short exercises benefit my current lifestyle, it only took a few days out with friends to recognize how my endurance has depleted. With the return to in-person school and workspaces and knowing my own needs, I have decided to prioritize building my endurance for effective full-day work.

When looking at our active lives, it is important to recognize what we are expecting of our bodies and what our bodies need. While it is good to always consider this, breaks and vacations are especially opportune reminders and offer time for practice. With the current changes of reopening, take this time to look at what your body needs and what you want for your body. However intense or simple your usual exercises are, however much experience you have, and whatever your goals are, staying mindful of your active life can help to do what is best for you. That way, you can do your best.
