Why You Need to Attend a Cycling Class

The rush and excitement as you put your cycling shoes on is a feeling that overcomes any nerves. For the last four months, my older sister and I have been attending classes at “Rush Cycle.” It has changed my life for the better and I am so thrilled to be writing about this fun and healthy exercise topic.

When my sister, Mackenzie, first told me that she was going to start going to cycling classes, I immediately said, “I want to join you!” With a smile on her face and a spark in her eye, she agreed to bring me along for the ride… no pun intended. As I got ready for the class, I made sure that I felt comfortable in my outfit, while also looking stylish. Because of the fact that I was visiting my sisters, Briana and Mackenzie, I was staying in their apartment. I did not have any work out clothing there. Luckily, a nearby Target saved me and my need for workout apparel. I ran in and got the cutest sports bra in-store and regular black leggings.

I find it so important to feel confident and comfortable as you are working out. There is a sense of empowerment when you put on a pair of leggings and a work out top. It almost feels like you are about to achieve greatness, and let’s be real, you are!

Cycling classes can definitely seem intimidating. With their loud music and neon lights, the intimidation actually begins to go away. I was so nervous that I was going to be off beat while the rest of the class with in rhythm, but then I realized that you just have to go at your own pace. This class is meant for you to have fun and to ride to the beat. As soon as you get the hang of it, it clicks. You start to be in sync with the rest of the class along with the instructor that is on the stage in front of you.

I doubted myself that I wasn’t going to do well or that I wasn’t athletic enough to succeed in a cycling class. With the help of encouraging words from my sister and the instructor, I can now proudly say that I have found a new hobby and passion.

Now it is your turn. Put on a comfortable pair of leggings and work out shirt because it is time to feel the rush of a cycling class. I promise you, you will not regret it. Just remember to go at your own pace, find your rhythm, and have fun!
