Simple Staple

Whether you consider yourself a beauty guru, you watch YouTube tutorials every week, or you have no idea how to begin a makeup routine, there is one look that is absolutely necessary no matter what level of makeup skill you possess: the “three piece” eyeshadow look.

All you need to achieve this look is one smaller eyeshadow brush, one bigger blending brush, and a palette of neutral browns. Personally, there are certain brands and styles of these products that I have been using for years, so if you are starting fresh, I recommend looking into these. If you already have your makeup bag stock-full then find the closest items to these and go from there!

First, the smaller eyeshadow brush is the Morphe M503 Pro Firming Blending Fluff Brush, which only costs $7 on their website! The second part to creating this look is the Morphe M510 Pro Round Blender Brush, again at an incredible price of only $9. I have had these brushes for over a year and a half and they are still in great shape, so it is safe to say that these are worth the small investment of under $10 per brush.

The Naked2 Mini Palette is where this look finds itself to be a bit pricier at around $30. However, if you are shopping on a budget, there are plenty of options to use as dupes that can be found at any drugstore.

The reason why these three items are must haves in your collection is because of the versatility they provide. For example, if you are going to school and do not want too heavy of a makeup look but still want to add some dimension to your look, the bigger brush covers the entire lid with the lightest shade and the smaller brush acts as a finite pen to place a brown shade in the crease. Then the bigger brush is used again to blend that darkness out, so it gives the illusion of a naturally deep-set eye.

This process can be recreated to fit any occasion, because the darker the brown the more intense the look becomes. These three products are simple yet multipurpose, so it’s no question that you should add them to your collection!
