Getting Back to My Morning Routine

With everything being online, my morning routine has drastically changed since quarantine started. Although now I drag myself out of bed 10 minutes before class starts, my morning routine before quarantine consisted of many activities that made me feel productive and prepared for the day.

To begin, I started my morning with a shower. I prefer showering in the morning as it makes me feel more ready for the day. Even a quick 5-minute shower will help you feel energetic in the morning. While getting dressed, I put on music. I usually love listening to throwbacks in the morning, so any songs by One Direction, the Jonas Brothers, or Hannah Montana. I typically do my skincare routine at night, so in the morning, I put Marula Seed Oil and a rose spray on my face. I usually prefer not to wear make-up, so getting ready in the morning generally does not take long.

I usually don’t feel hungry in the morning, so after I get dressed, I like drinking green juice. My parents recently bought a juicer, so I juice spinach, kale, carrots, and beets. I also add some lemon juice for a little flavor. This juice allows me to feel healthy and ready for the day. On weekends, I prefer to work out before drinking the juice; however, I don’t have time to do so on school days.

Over the summers, and especially this past year during quarantine, my morning schedule has changed a lot. However, now that life is starting to go back to normal, I am excited to bring my morning routine back!
