Childhood Favorites

During stressful and uncertain times, many of us look for ways to relax or be reminded of the simpler days. Many adults, (even young adults) do that by revisiting their childhood. As someone who has always been reading, here are a few of my favorite books from my younger days that you might like to explore:

The Bunnicula series by James Howe. The premise is exactly what it sounds like—a vampire bunny. Rather than sucking blood, the fluffy little creature drains vegetables of their juices. The books follow Bunnicula and his eccentric family in their adventures.

Goddess Girls by Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams. Fans of Percy Jackson will like these books, as they take many of the famous characters from Greek mythology and place them in an almost modern society as teenagers, and let the drama unfold.

The Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osborne. Many people have heard of this series, and it is a classic. The protagonists, Jack and Annie, find a tree house that can whisk them away to any place they point to in a book.

Many of us are finding that we have more time on our hands now, and if that applies to you and you wish to reminisce on your childhood, I hope you like these.
