  1. Faux Fur Coat + White Lace Dress + Over-the-Knee Boots

During the colder months, the last thing I want to do is dress up. Despite the lower temperatures, though, there’s still a practical way to dress formally during the winter. While you may be tempted to categorize white lace dresses as a “summer staple,” it can actually work for a winter wardrobe as well. I like to pair mine with a large faux fur coat to add some warmth and a touch of glam to the whole outfit. By adding over-the-knee boots, the entire ensemble is chic, classy, and functional.

  1. Oversized Plaid Coat + Long Scarf + Leather Boots

For a more casual everyday look, try opting for an oversized printed coat. While animal prints have been trendy for the past few years, I tend to stick to neutral and timeless patterns, such as plaid or houndstooth. The best part about an oversized fit is that it allows you to wear multiple layers underneath, so you can stay warm while still looking put together. I love pairing my oversized coats with super long scarves since it balances out the whole ensemble’s overall silhouette. To finish off, a pair of classic leather boots pulls the whole look together, giving it that casual yet stylish vibe.

  1. Long-Line Blazer + Sweater + Trousers

While it may be tempting to just throw on a sweater and a pair of jeans for work, there are moments when you need to look more put together for a special meeting or an interview. On these occasions, try opting for trousers instead of jeans, and trade in your jacket or hoodie for a blazer. Both of these items are enough to add an air of confidence to your look, and the small attention to details will help others take you more seriously as well. The best thing about trousers is the looser fit – if you live in a cold environment, this allows you to wear a pair of leggings inside for some extra warmth!
