Write and Reap

In order to stay motivated, no matter the season of life that I find myself in, I always take a pen to paper and write. The level of effort and length that is put into the writing is dependent on the circumstance, but what never changes is the act of physically writing my thoughts, dreams, goals, or plans out on paper. Being able to visualize thoughts and see exactly what it is that needs to be completed, or what I hope to achieve in the near future, gives me a platform to start from and work towards.

This is not limited to homework assignments, workouts, or chores that need to get done; it creates and increases the sense of motivation in a variety of ways! If there is a new job you are hoping to land, or a desire that seems out of reach, studies have actually proven that writing these things down can improve your success rates by 42 percent! Another similar and great option for those akin to visual learning is to create a mood board by printing out photos, mantras or buzzwords that match the lifestyle or goals that you wish to achieve. The most important aspect is that there is some sort of physical, visual, and concrete evidence detailing exactly what you desire, and from there the motivation is born.

Finding your unique style of motivation is a process of trial and error. So, because we have had more free time lately, allow yourself to explore and decide on whichever way you find is the most enjoyable and productive.
