Surrounded by the beauty of thousand year old clay formations and towering spruce trees, Sedona, AZ is a quaint and cultured city. Sedona is 19 square miles of pure, conserved history. It is located within the borders of Coconino National Forest and is home to six Native American tribes.

Rich culture and exquisite scenery can be found around every corner in Sedona, leaving tourists with plenty to discover. The city is famously known as red rock country for a reason. Its unique and brightly colored rock formations can be seen from any spot throughout the downtown area. However, if you want to see the red rocks close up, hiking trails surrounding Sedona provide a bird’s eye view of the city itself.

After hiking through Arizona’s dry heat, cooling down and relaxing is a necessity. What better way to do it than in Coconino’s clear, refreshing rivers? Reflecting the beauty of the red rocks, the rivers wrapping around Sedona are so clean you could drink them. They are explorer friendly, and are bound to have undiscovered nooks and crannies waiting to be found.

Going to Downtown Sedona is a must for an all around Arizona experience. As soon as you step foot on the historic brick roads, you will be engulfed in ancient culture. There is food ranging from Tex-Mex to Thai, and shopping boutiques that are filled with every type of natural turquoise. The sound of the street performers echoes off the red rocks through the night. Native American Tribes have booths filled with jewelry, foods, and crafts from their culture.

Sedona, AZ, is a small, magical place filled to the brim with culture, history, nature, and welcoming citizens. If you ever get the chance to drive through Arizona, stop by Sedona. It’s so encapsulating it will make you never want to leave.
