Keeping Calm in Autumn

On one hand, fall is a peaceful time of change. On the other, it is wholly and utterly chaotic. While the leaves are gracefully changing colors, students everywhere are scrambling frantically to keep up with school.

As a student, I know how hard it is to maintain focus and stamina during this chaotic season. But I also know that during times of pressure, it is especially important to reward yourself for all your hard work. Here are just a couple of little ways you can reward yourself this fall.

1. Get Nude Pink Nails

I am in love with this unique color. It is especially aesthetically pleasing for fall time, and the perfect way to treat yourself without spending too much cash. The color is subtle, beautiful, and goes well with just about anything!

2. Enjoy Some Speculoos

These exquisite cookies are some of my all-time favorites. Not only are they delicious, but they also happen to be less damaging calorie-wise. The blend of cinnamon and spice never ceases to satisfy the palate. Whenever life gets too chilly, brew some coffee and grab some Speculoos!

3. Throw on Your Favorite Sweater

The easiest way to reward yourself to slip on your favorite sweater. Personally, this adorable cinched sweater is my go-to for both fall and winter. It is not too thick and not too thin, and the material is soft, flexible cotton. Sometimes it can be hard to find a sweater that fits right, looks cute, and keeps you warm, but I can assure you it’s somewhere at the back of your (or your mother’s) closet.

These are all pretty simple treats, but can make a big difference in your day. Always remember to use the things that make you happy as rewards for your hard work and dedication. There’s no shame in treating yourself, especially if it makes you feel more confident, comfortable, or just a little less stressed.
