Did you know that smell is one of the most powerful triggers for memories, especially emotional ones? The regions in the brain that juggle smell, memories, and emotions are intrinsically intertwined, so scents travel directly to the emotional centers of our brains.
This is why I love collecting a variety of scents since they always remind me of certain times in my life or places that I visited. Read on to see what some of my favorite perfumes are.
Elizabeth Arden White Tea Wild Rose Eau De Toilette Spray
This sweet and delicate floral fragrance is one of my favorites because it’s the perfect balance of light and warmth. The scent of wild roses always reminds me of spring afternoons, especially when the weather is just starting to warm up. It’s the perfect everyday fragrance that works for any event.
Chloé Eau de Parfum
Another one of my favorite floral fragrances is this signature one from Chloé. The blend of peony and rose is youthful and modern, perfect for the romantic yet effortlessly chic city girl. This scent always reminds me of my time in New York, since it encapsulates the essence of Manhattan so well.
The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods Eau de Parfum
Aside from my love for floral fragrances, I’m also a huge fan of vanilla scents, since they always remind me of the holidays. There’s just something about the warm and sweet notes that are reminiscent of days spent in front of the fireplace, sipping hot chocolates and eating cookies. This perfume from The 7 Virtues also incorporates subtle hints of caramel and warm amber.
Jo Malone London Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne
Fruity scents are perfect for my favorite season of all time—summer! This fragrance from Jo Malone London combines nectarines, peaches, and sweet acacia honey for a sweet and refreshing blend that captures summer perfectly. It’s playful and reminds me of picnics and beach days!
