SkySpace LA: For Instagrammers, Not Astronauts

Many skyscrapers in big cities are donned with glass windows and have a spot at the very top to allow tourists and social media crazed visitors to gaze at a sweeping view of the buzzing city. SkySpace LA is the place to find this experience in (you guessed it!) Los Angeles. Not only are the views incredible, but the transparent windows and flooring makes you feel like you are walking on air.

SkySpace LA distinguishes itself from other glass look out points by offering a unique glass slide and open-air observation deck. The slide is incredibly exciting and nerve wracking. You wait for your turn in line to sail down a slide made of glass, giving you the impression of plummeting down the 1,000 feet of the skyscraper. Wild.

You cannot go wrong with a time of day to visit. The daytime offers a clear, visible 360-degree view of the attractions of the city (the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, Staples Center, etc). At night, visitors can witness a beautiful sunset followed by the vibrant contrast of city lights and darkness.

General admission is $25, but check online for your usual student, youth, senior, and military discounts. Tickets are according to a specific time allowance so be wary of that.

A romantic date spot, family outing, friend hangout, and photoshoot location, SkySpace is the perfect location to take in the sweeping views of LA from a different perspective.
