It’s summertime! Sunny days, school’s out, and time for lots of get-togethers. As much as we want to throw a nice party, it can be challenging to figure out how to make the most spectacular party, especially while on a budget. Luckily, there are many great hacks to keep in mind that are simple, fun, and friendly to both your wallet and guests.

Having an outdoor party can be refreshing and adventurous. If you don’t want to have a party in your home or backyard, I suggest having it at a local beach or park. It’s a great way to be in nature, have a wide range of space, and it’s easy on the decoration budget. Plus, you don’t need to worry about having enough chairs when there are picnic blankets and beach towels.

Now, let’s move on to some summer treats. Parties don’t have to consist of five-course meals that look flawless and fancy. Some simple, classic ideas for snacks that are yummy and festive are s’mores, an ice cream bar, a taco bar, fruity drinks, or even an old-fashioned potluck party. These snacks are easy to set up, clean up, and you don’t have to worry about running out.

Next up, entertainment. That doesn’t have to mean renting a DJ, a bouncer, or a private party boat. Some budget-friendly, engaging, and fun games to play are bean bag toss, tug of war, and sports like volleyball. Other activities include playing an outdoor movie, setting up a kiddy pool, and even cranking up the speakers wired to your phone. These are great ways to get guests involved, chatting, smiling, and laughing.

Ultimately, summer parties are where the most memories are created, so naturally, we want to have as many as possible. Throwing a summer party doesn’t have to be stressful or expensive. Being surrounded by good company and some fun basics is all you need. Parties are supposed to be filled with good, simple times, and knowing how to throw, manage, and succeed at party planning is the first step. So don’t go overboard, enjoy the beautiful weather and time off, and have yourself a hacking good summer!
