LeBron Is Doing it All And It’s Still Not Enough

Anyone that had tuned in to the Game 1 of the NBA finals witnessed an all-time great performance by LeBron James. He hoisted up 51 points to go along with 8 assists as well as 8 rebounds, and he is one of 6 NBA players to ever put up 50+ points in the NBA finals, but he is the only one to ever lose doing so. Thanks to J.R. Smith, LeBron won’t get the praise he rightfully deserves.

With 4.7 seconds left in regulation of Game 1 of the Finals, J.R. Smith grabbed the offensive rebound off of a missed George Hill free throw. Cavalier fans were ecstatic because the Cavs had another shot to steal the game from the Golden State Warriors, yet that opportunity went down the drain; Smith had mistakenly dribbled out the clock thinking that his team was winning at the time, when in reality the score was 107 to 107.

Even though the game wasn’t over after that gaffe by Smith, the Cleveland team was absolutely devastated that such a mistake like that had happened. The result of this mistake was the Warriors prevailing in that first game in a lopsided Overtime.

Currently, the Cavs are down 2-0 in this series but fans wonder what could have been if either Hill made the second free throw, or Smith didn’t forget the score was tied. Hopefully, the Cavs players can pick themselves up and make this series a long one.
