Unless you’re an essential worker, most people are finding themselves with more free time than they used to during this pandemic. If you’re looking for ways to spend that time, you have come to the right place. Here are some fun ideas to help the time go by.
- Cook or bake! If you rarely do these things, try them out! You might find you like doing so. If you already cook or bake frequently, try something new! Experiment with a recipe or technique you’ve always wanted to try. Whichever category you fall into, there are only two possible outcomes: something delicious, or something not. Both are perfectly valid and will help you learn for the future!
- Play games. Many of us are used to sitting around reading or watching TV nowadays, but you can still play many games to occupy yourself! There are board games, card games, video games, sports, etc. Find something you enjoy, even if it’s a simple game of Solitaire or tag, and have fun!
- Talk a walk. It is all too easy to become restless right now. Whether you’re a fitness nut or not, a short walk on the beach or around the block is a simple way to expend that pent-up energy. Plus, the fresh air will do you good.
- Find an excuse to dress up. Sometimes it’s nice to break from routine by dressing up and feeling fancy. Have a fashion show or a tea party or a dance and dress your best! You’ll have an excuse to show off your gorgeous looks to anyone you’re housing with (or the Internet), and you’ll (hopefully) feel better about yourself and your body.
Whatever you chose to do, have fun and try new things! You’ll never know whether you like something or not if you don’t take risks.
