In the rare time that we find a time to wind down and watch a movie, we often lounge on the couch and end up spending at least an hour scrolling through Netflix and end up picking a movie we really didn’t want to watch. What a waste! The point of watching a movie is to feel a sense of escape. I’m a huge fan of happy movies because the world can sometimes be a sad place. So grab some popcorn, good pals, and a blanket and get ready to snuggle in for the night (or day).

Mamma Mia and Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again!

Perfect when you’re in a groovy mood and want the spontaneity of Donna! It’s got the singing, dancing, and gorgeous scenery of Greece. What’s not to love?

27 Dresses

There’s at least one or two characters you can relate to in this charming romcom. A worked up wedding planner who does anything and everything for everyone loses herself a bit but through life events and wedding drama, she finds herself again. Plus, she scores a hottie writer played by James Marsden so that’s not too bad.

Rush Hour series

Literally the funniest movies ever and will guarantee a laugh out of you. The dynamic duo detectives played by Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker form an action packed adventure that anyone will love.

Enchanted

10 Things I Hate About You

Whether you’re a pessimistic or an optimistic, this cast of misfits will encourage you to branch out of your comfort zone and be the person to express your love for someone. The cherry on top of the film is definitely Heath Ledger pouring his heart out while dancing to Frank Sinatra’s “I Love You Baby”. Just iconic.
