Food is fuel for your body and mind, and eating healthy can make a difference in how you feel and in your life in general. Even though eating healthy can be time-consuming and seem like too much work, it doesn’t have to be a chore! There are plenty of ways to eat healthy that are simple and nutritious. It’s all about finding what works for you!

People tend to eat junk food because it’s usually an easier and cheaper alternative than eating healthy. With a McDonalds and Jamba Juice around every corner, it’s hard not to be tempted by the quickness and cheapness of fast food. The good news is that healthy food businesses are starting to expand, and there are numerous healthy fast food options that you can choose from! They may not be as cheap as junk food, but the food can still be as filling and worthwhile as a burger from Wendy’s. Some healthy fast food options that you can choose from are: Salad And Go, Nektar, Clean Juice, Chipotle, Cafe Zupas, ProteinHouse, and more.

If you would rather cook at home, there are also a variety of grocery stores that offer healthy and organic food options that you can either cook yourself or that come prepackaged. Here are some grocery stores that specialize in healthy eating, so you don’t have to make circles around the store trying to find healthy alternatives: Sprouts Farmers Market, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Aldi, and more. Online companies such as HelloFresh are also a great way to plan nutritious meals without having to leave your house to buy groceries.

Another way to eat healthy if you don’t have the time or money to cook or buy big meals is to buy or prepare nutritious snacks. People tend to think that ‘snacks’ refer to junk food, but there are plenty of healthy and easy snacks that you can make and buy. For example, you could make avocado toast with lemon, or you could buy prepackaged acai bowls when you’re feeling just hungry enough for a quick snack. Smoothies and juices are also a great way to consume healthy food too. They can be pretty pricey, so what I like to do is buy the fruits and vegetables that I want to use beforehand, make a few servings of a smoothie or juice, pour what I don’t drink into a couple of mason jars, and then I have a healthy drink on the go for the next few days!
