The fall semester is right around the corner, and many schools are planning to have in-person classes again. Starting school in-person again can be stressful for many reasons, one of them being school outfits. School fashion can be slightly different from normal, casual fashion, especially if schools have dress codes, or if you just want to dress a little more appropriately and professionally than usual.
I go to a university, so even though there’s no dress code, I’ve already caught myself freaking out about the clothes that I currently have in my closet, and what I should and shouldn’t wear when I go to class. Since I wouldn’t wear the majority of the clothes in my closet to school, I’ve done some back-to-school shopping, and I’m going to plan my outfits ahead of time (kind of like meal prepping but with clothes).
Here are some cute outfit inspirations if you’re struggling to put together fashionable, school-appropriate outfits:
1. Long T-Shirts
I think that long t-shirts are the best way to be comfortable and cute at the same time. If you aren’t a fan of how t-shirt dresses fit, I recommend buying oversized men’s t-shirts and wearing denim or biker shorts underneath. That’s what I do, and my outfits always end up being simple but still stylish!
2. Sweatpants
Sweatpants can be such a cute lazy day look! Wearing sweatpants doesn’t mean that your outfit has to be ugly or bland. I’ve seen lots of people go to class wearing sweatpants and still look super cute. The choice of top will complete the outfit, so choose wisely!
3. Slacks
Slacks aren’t just for the office! Slacks can be casual too, and when paired right, they can be the perfect mix of professional and cute for school!
