3 Ways to Instantly Spice Up Your Home for Fall

As we have now entered the fall season in full swing, I think it’s time to make our living spaces feel the same way! Whether that be with our workspace or our couches, I believe that making anything feel more “cozy” can lead to positive vibes during your day and provide a more refreshing atmosphere when grinding through this season! Here are 3 of my favorite ways to instantly spice up (or pumpkin spice, whatever type of spice you prefer!) your home this fall season:

Scents

If you are anything like me, scents play a huge role in how you feel during the day. If you can choose a scent that makes you feel like there are either warm pumpkin pies in the oven or peppermint ice cream in the fridge, it can have a huge impact on your mood as you are either working or lounging around the house! This can range from a dainty candle on your dining table to a wick-stash on your desk. Several research studies have been conducted and have thus concluded that the impact of smell on the human brain has many positive effects, such as an increase in mood, specifically happiness, and productivity. So, go forth and choose a scent that best caters to your happiness!

Healthy Fall-ish Snacks

Now, I realize that having snacks, especially unhealthy ones, on your desk or coffee table can be a dangerous territory to step into as we go into the spring/summer season in a couple of months for our “perfect” bodies… but hear me out—we can make these snacks healthy! These healthy snacks can include vegan or gluten-free ones, such as sugar-free oatmeal raisin cookies, almond milk pumpkin spice lattes, or peppermint oil-infused dark chocolate bark. There are many ways to make your favorite desserts or snacks into healthy ones, therefore allowing you to not only have “pretty-looking” jars of food on your furniture, but also feeding you nutritious, fall-filled treats!

Pumpkins or twinkle lights, you pick!

Whether you are thinking of decorating your home or workspace for the more pumpkin-oriented occasion or for the Thanksgiving events, pumpkins and twinkle lights can never be a wrong choice to go with! Throwing some pumpkins around the front of the house and within the small corners of your home can truly add fall vibes to your space, allowing you to get ready for the fall festivities with the upcoming holidays. Placing twinkle lights in your lounge space can offer a dim, less harsh look for your home during both day and night and this can provide a comfortable feeling as they are not as prevalent as regular house lighting. Both twinkle lights and pumpkins, personally to me, scream out fall festivities and getting ready for the holiday time!

If you can place some pumpkins, twinkle lights, treat jars, and candles within your home or workspace, consider yourself fall-ready! These additions to your living space can easily uplift your mood and offer excitement for the upcoming holidays during this season, allowing you to benefit both on a physical and mental level from these small changes!
