Women Power

Since the ratification of women’s suffrage in August of 1920, women have come a long way. Women have always had an uphill battle to gain equality and this battle still continues to this day. There have been countless notable women who have empowered women by fighting for women’s rights.

My personal favorite is Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She was a Supreme Court Justice who fought for women’s rights from a young age, persevering through sexism and undermining. Women like her have empowered other women to take charge and find power.

Although huge steps have been taken toward women’s equality and feminist power, there is still a need for improvement and progress. Women need to work together as a team to gain the equality and rights that are well deserved. Women uplifting one another will be the key to this success. No matter your status, no matter the differences between one another, women should band together to encourage and empower another.

Here’s to women’s rights and Women’s History Month!
