The end of the semester is approaching! The holiday season is right around the corner! It’s the last stretch of the semester. If you’re like me, you’re only getting busier and more tired. There never seems to be enough time in the day to fit in everything. But, with good time-management skills, you’ll find yourself less stressed and with more free time. Here are some tips for you:

Make a schedule: Use an agenda or a scheduler to keep yourself organized. Write a to-do list for each day to keep yourself accountable and set a time for you to complete those tasks. The more detailed your agenda, the better.

Avoid burn-outs: Having a schedule and a to-do list is nice, but don’t overpack your schedule. Make sure you give yourself a break before you get burnt out. Think of it as an athlete practicing. They will be sure not to overdo their workouts. If they injure themselves, they’ll be out for weeks, maybe months, so stop before it’s too late!

Learn to say “no”: Priorities! Make sure you have your priorities straight. Sometimes, you’ll have to say “no” to a hangout or a night out. If you know you’re going to have an early and busy day tomorrow, then it’s probably not the best idea to stay out until 3 a.m. It’s a skill to be able to say “no” and be in line with your priorities!

Time management is all about responsibility and organization. Find what works best for you! We’re almost at the end of the semester, closer to the holiday break and a New Year! Push through and stay on top of your game!
