Mask Protocol

Hey everyone, because of everything going on with COVD-19, I’d like to talk about masks and how to use and store them properly.

The CDC recommends everyone to use masks to prevent the spread of the virus. That being said, cloth masks should be washed and disposable masks should be thrown away after every use. Of course, if you are using your mask for only a few minutes, chances are that you do not need to wash or throw it away, but use your best judgement. If you only wear your mask for a small amount of time, remember to store it properly between uses:

“Facemasks should be carefully folded so that the outer surface is held inward and against itself to reduce contact with the outer surface during storage. The folded mask can be stored between uses in a clean sealable paper bag or breathable container” (CDC).

Another helpful mask you can use is a shield mask. These plastic face covers are worn like glasses and give you a shield to protect your eyes. Make sure to wear your cloth or disposable mask around your nose and mouth as well.

I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during these unprecedented times.
