Why I Can’t Live Without the Notes App

I’m on my phone for an average of six hours every day, and I’m sure many other people are on their phones for around the same amount of time too. One phone app that has absolutely saved my life and that I can’t live without is the Notes app, especially as a writer.

The Notes app is installed in every iPhone, and even though it’s specifically made for notes, I’ve found many uses for it, such as: making to-do lists, writing notes for my classes, writing down my passwords and other useful information, and even venting when I need to.

The last reason that I previously mentioned above about venting in the app has changed my life. When I’m out and about or simply too lazy to write in my journal, but I need to express my emotions, the Notes app is my go-to. I have hundreds of pages in the app where I release what is inside of my chaotic brain, and it’s almost like free therapy. I write poetry as well, and my best poetry has been produced when the words randomly pop up in my brain; thus, I immediately go to my Notes app and write the poems down so I don’t forget them.

The Notes app also has cool features, such as being able to lock a note. This is another reason I love it, because, unlike some written diaries and journals, people won’t be able to access confidential information and my deepest thoughts without knowing my password, in case people decide to snoop through my phone or I get hacked.

If you haven’t been taking advantage of the Notes app, I highly recommend starting. It’s such a versatile app that can really help people out!
