Thoughts on “Avengers: Endgame”

As an avid film enthusiast, I find myself getting excited every time new movies hit the theaters, and I’m always eager to see them as soon as they come out. My reaction to the release of Avengers: Endgame was no different.

As expected, I found myself in a line of about 300 other enthusiastic, nervous and antsy fans waiting outside of my local theater for the premiere of Endgame, and the film exceeded my expectations.

Following the footsteps of Avengers: Infinity War, which was incredible in its storyline, visual effects and dialogue, Endgame further shows Marvel’s mastery of combining all these aspects of film and storytelling to create an unbelievable film.

In this movie, the Avengers must pick up the pieces from the devastation caused in the previous installment and continue on their quest to defeat Thanos. The three-hour rollercoaster ride made me feel every type of emotion, and as always, the humorous bits did not disappoint. What I loved so much about Endgame was that even though it is categorized as an action/superhero movie and its action sequences were top-notch, there were definitely lots of meaningful scenes and key dialogue that brought more depth to the movie. Sometimes with adventure films, the action can take center stage and overshadow the story, but Marvel did an amazing job of letting the action complement the incredible visual storytelling in Endgame.

For those who have not seen this film, I highly recommend sitting yourself down in a plushy seat in the theater to take in this masterpiece of a three-hour movie. And for those who may not be as up to date in the MCU and haven’t seen many of the recent Marvel films, don’t worry. While it’s very helpful to have seen the previous installments to understand the references made in Endgame, it’s not absolutely necessary. You will thoroughly enjoy this movie regardless. Marvel has done it once again, successfully creating and delivering a phenomenal finale.
