The Perfect YA Novel to Read During February

Because the month of February is known as “the month of love,” I thought I’d talk about an awesome book I read a couple of weeks ago. Author Laura Taylor Namey wrote A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow. This novel tells the story of 17-year-old Lila Reyes who is set on taking over her abuela’s panadería before going to the University of Miami in the fall. But then she loses everything and her mental health starts to deteriorate. So, her parents decide to send her to live with extended family in Winchester, England. To Lila, this is the worst possible solution to her problems, until she meets Orion. It isn’t long before she begins to fall in love with England, and maybe Orion as well.

This book was so charming! It was truly a fun and quick read, perfect with character growth and a touch of romance that leaves you feeling bubbly. If you’re into young adult contemporary romance then I highly suggest you pick this up. This book is also a part of Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club, so I would recommend this book to readers of all ages. It makes you remember the nostalgia of teenage years.

If you give this book a go, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
