Freeform’s The Bold Type continues to positively portray feminist ideals by uplifting women of different size, shape, color, and religion as it chronicles the lives of charming Kat (Aisha Dee), persistent Jane (Katie Stevens), and lovely Sutton (Meghann Fahy) at the epicenter.

Despite only being on its fifth episode of season two, the show has already tackled vastly diverse topics such as white-privilege, race, intricacies of interracial relationships, religion, and so much more. The Bold Type not only appeals to the feminist viewer but to those who identify within the LGBTQ community as it focuses on Kat and Adena (Nikohl Boosheri), two women of color, as the main romantic relationship on screen.

The Bold Type certainly deserves a perusal if you enjoy seeing young, independent women take charge of their lives in our ever-evolving world.
