Supporting Black-Owned Businesses

Black-owned businesses are everywhere, but unfortunately, people can have a hard time finding them. In honor of Black History Month, I thought that it would only be appropriate to share some of my favorite small Black-owned businesses that I have come across. Black businesses deserve to be appreciated and there is no better time to support them than Black History Month!

1. Forever Mahogany

This business sells beautiful gold jewelry at an affordable price. Ranging from earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and anklets, if you are looking to expand your jewelry collection and add unique gold pieces to it, this is the place to shop!

2. Doe and Deer Crochet

This designer makes distinctive crochet designs. All of her designs are made by her, and she not only sells clothes, but accessories as well. Her vibrant pieces will make your outfit pop. If you like crochet and hippie style pieces, this is the store for you!

3. Simply Char

This website is run by a vegan chef. She sells vegan cookbooks, has numerous recipes to share that are typically soy and gluten-free, and has a podcast as well. If you’re plant-based or vegan and ever need inspiration in the kitchen, her knowledge on cooking is extremely helpful!

4. Melanated Momma

As a healer and advisor, this business is centered around spirituality and helping others on their journeys. The owner offers spiritual advising in a variety of different ways, such as meetings and patreon, as well as a diverse number of classes and workshops you can take. This business is a great fit if you have been looking to elevate your spiritual journey and need to find a trusted healer in the community!
