Happy early Valentine’s Day! You know what that means…It’s sappy rom-com season. As someone whose favorite genre of movies is rom-coms, Valentine’s Day is my perfect excuse to binge-watch them, especially the movie Stuck in Love.
This is a fairly old movie and despite the number of times that I’ve watched it, it never fails to make me cry while also gives me a glimmer of hope when it comes to love. It’s not the typical rom-com where the audience immediately knows the ending within the first 10 minutes of the movie, and even though it can be cliche at times, the plot and characters make up for it.
It revolves around a family of four and each of their love stories. The movie takes you through a whirlwind of emotions and doesn’t focus on the happy-ever-ending type of love, making it realistic while still having a cutesy vibe. Different types of love and heartbreak are portrayed in the film, making it relatable to a wider range of people. Even though this movie makes my heart break, it still manages to make me believe in love, even if it isn’t the fairytale love that so many other rom-coms depict.
So, if you’re a rom-com type of person and you’re looking to shed some emotions during Valentine’s season, this movie is the perfect fit for you! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
