Staying Fit From Home

As refreshing as outdoor workouts can be, sometimes you just want to stay inside and bring the workout home. Whether it is cold and gloomy out or you simply prefer the comfort of the indoors, there are a variety of ways to stay active from the comfort of your own home.

1. Jumping Rope

I love jumping rope because it’s intense and you don’t have to practice for hours in order to get your heart rate up. It also burns fat faster than typical cardio workouts. It’s a perfect way to squeeze in a workout when you don’t have much time.

2. Climbing Stairs

This is obviously only possible if you have stairs or a step machine available to you. Still, stair climbing is a very versatile workout for many reasons (including perking up your backside).

3. Dancing

The best part of having your own space is that you can do anything you want in it–which includes letting loose and dancing like there’s no one around. Unless there is somebody around–in which case, the more the merrier!

4. Tidying Up

Believe it or not, vacuuming, mopping, or even putting away groceries all count as workouts! Completing household chores may not be as intense of an exercise session as you wish, but it gets you off your bum and keeps you active.

As you can see, there are plenty of ways to get active in your own home, no gym membership required!
