With the spread of COVID-19, schools closing down, and most of us being stuck at home, I’m sure we’ve all watched our fair share of movies and tv-shows. Having a membership to Disney+, I’ve enjoyed watching many classic Disney movies along with a newer one called Stargirl. This movie tells a story about a sixteen-year-old boy named Leo who falls for Stargirl Caraway, a unique girl who’s free-spirited and not afraid to be herself. This movie is sweet and tells a simple story reminding us about the importance of non-conformity, self-expression, and living in the present, looking at life through a different lens.
If you’ve ever watched the movie Flipped or enjoy heart-warming films, I would encourage you to check this one out. The end is different but thought-provoking and made me reflect on my own life.
