Spring Cleaning Guide

Do you enjoy cleaning? I sure don’t. But let me rephrase myself–do you enjoy having a clean room, tidy house, and open closet, ready for a fresh wardrobe?

Lets start with the kitchen. Here your best friend is going to be Clorox wipes. Use these bad boys to scrub down nearly everything in your kitchen, including countertops, shelves, and drawers. Next, cut out half of a lemon and place it down the kitchen sink drain. Then turn on the garbage disposal. This will help your kitchen sink smell better. Rather than smelling like food and unwashed dishes, it will smell like lemons. Lastly, use windex to wipe down your windows.

Moving into your bedroom, grab a vacuum and get rid of all the dust. After vacuuming, take a broom to catch any stubborn leftovers. You can also vacuum your mattress. Make sure you still have Clorox wipes, and use them to clean your dresser. Use cleaning products to deep clean any other furniture which hasn’t seen the light of day since fall.

Make space for your new and improved wardrobe by getting rid of clothes you don’t wear. I always say that if you haven’t worn it in six months to a year, you probably won’t wear it again. (Dresses and costumes for special occasions don’t count, of course!) Its normal to get a little bored of your wardrobe–sometimes, things can get a little repetitive. Spring cleaning is what makes it possible to switch things up.
