Show-Stopping Red Carpet Looks

Although it’s been a challenging year for the film and television world, award shows have and will still take place virtually. To celebrate, here are some of my absolute favorite red carpet looks!

Zendaya always stuns fans with her phenomenal outfits at award shows. However, this show-stopping Marchesa gown that she wore at the 2016 Golden Globes has got to be my favorite. The deep wine shade meshed with the unique lace tiered gown exudes elegance and style. I also love the jeweled earrings and sleek hairstyle that tie the look together.

Emma Stone’s 2017 Oscars dress is purely reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. This embroidered and beaded Givenchy gown took over 1,700 hours to create. The fringe paired with the classic red lip and vintage curls was a beautiful homage to the “flapper girl” era. It is only fitting that she took home the Academy Award for Best Actress that night!

Janelle Monáe looked gorgeous on the 2020 Oscars red carpet in her silver Ralph Lauren gown with a draped hood, evocative of the iconic Jamaican model and singer Grace Jones’ signature look. Monáe’s dress took 600 hours to make and has at least 160,000 Swarovski crystals. The dazzling crystal choker and shimmering rings completed the look.

It will be great to see the stars posing for pictures back on the red carpet. Until then, let’s see what this year’s award season has in store for us!
