Sharing My Love for Baking

For many years now, I have loved to bake desserts. I do love to cook in general, but it’s fun to try new recipes and challenge myself with the sweets I make.

One of my favorite things to bake is sticky buns. These cinnamon roll-like treats are topped with pecans and have a honey glaze instead of the cinnamon roll’s classic frosting. I got my recipe from a fantastic YouTuber named Joshua Weissman, who makes all kinds of food-related videos. I highly recommend checking out his videos if you ever get the chance.

Another treat I love to make is macarons. While some people claim they are hard to bake, I think they’re easy as long as you’re very precise with your ingredients. This recipe measures everything in grams instead of cups or teaspoons, so it’s convenient and makes it easier if you have a food scale. During the pandemic, I made several flavors such as classic vanilla, chocolate, and cookies and cream. If you’re going to give these a try, make sure that you watch a few YouTube videos to know what to expect. Another great tip is to let them sit for a day or two. Funny enough, they’re better on the second or third day.

Baking is a great way to get friends and family together and spend your time doing something new and exciting. Just remember that practice makes perfect.
