Marvel’s new movie, Shang-Chi‘, has done extremely well upon its release. While several movie studios have simultaneously released films in theaters and on streaming platforms, Shang-Chi only debuted in theaters and is the second-biggest opening movie of the pandemic to make an estimated $75.5 million during the three day period. That being said, it’s clear that this movie is going to keep gaining popularity as fans become even more eager to watch it in theaters and on Disney+ later on. And an increase in fans will also lead to future merchandise and DVD sales.

Currently, Shang-Chi, has very high scores on Rotten Tomatoes, with a critic score of 92%, and an audience score of 98%. As the critic consensus states on the website, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings isn’t entirely free of Marvel’s familiar formula, but this exciting origin story expands the MCU in more ways than one.” I don’t know about you, but those scores and reviews make me even more excited to watch this film.

All in all, watching movies in theaters really is a completely immersive and exciting way to watch movies. I can’t wait to finally get to see this, and I hope those who’ve seen it have enjoyed themselves.
