As a college student, it can be hard to find the perfect place to study and stay focused. But, there are several hidden spots on Chapman campus and around the area that provide an ideal study environment, with good food and great views.
The first hidden spot on Chapman’s campus is the 3rd floor Argyros Forum (AF) patio. This patio provides a gorgeous lookout point, where you are able to sit at any of the tables, unpack your study materials and get to work. Who doesn’t love studying outside?
For another outdoor study spot, try the Beckman 4th floor terrace. From here, you get a panoramic view of the library and piazza from one side, and from the other you can see Wilson Field. There are tables and chairs, so you can take your pick of where to sit and study, all with views in front of you.
If you prefer studying inside, the 3rd floor of AF also has a great study nook that not many students know about. There are couches for lounging, which provide a comfortable space to hit the books. You can even get a glimpse of the beautiful outdoors.
If you’re looking to study off campus, I’d recommend heading to Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders. Only a five minute drive from campus, this welcoming coffee shop has a great selection of coffees and teas, so you’re bound to find something you like. There’s a good chance you may run into other Chapman students as it’s a popular hangout. Pick from any table that’s open, take a seat, and get to studying.
A bit further from campus is Tru Bru Organic Coffee, where you can get a bite to eat as well as study. I recommend the many delicious breakfast options – a great pairing to your study session.
In the circle right off of Chapman campus is Portola Coffee Roasters, where you can enjoy a great cup of coffee while studying either inside or outside. Try their patio in the back, which is a great place to soak up some sun while studying.
