Safety in the Holidays

With the holidays on their way, I’m sure that no one wants to be sick during this time of celebration and festivities. Though we’ve been in the pandemic for almost a year now, that doesn’t mean that it’s time to ignore the safety restrictions that have been put into place, since cases are getting exponentially worse in many places. Here are ways for you to stay safe this holiday season!

If you’re planning on exchanging gifts with friends, you can still do so safely! You can use an online Secret Santa generator, create a list of what everyone wants and share it through Google Docs. Then, you can purchase gifts, drop them off at each other’s houses, and do a fun meeting through Zoom to open your gifts and reveal who you had for Secret Santa!

After you’ve gone shopping for gifts or groceries, remember to sanitize the items you buy. Whether this means wiping them down with disinfectant wipes or spraying them with alcohol, it’s important to clean off any items you’re going to eat or bring inside your house.

Another idea you can do is bake or decorate gingerbread houses with your friends and loved ones virtually! Just gather all your ingredients or a gingerbread house kit, hop on a Zoom meeting, and chat with each other while you’re decorating and baking. The whole point of the season is about being together, and even if it’s virtual, you’ll still have company and can enjoy the spirit of the season with each other.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season, and stay safe!
