Review: I Love It

Fans are ballistic over Kanye West and Lil Pump’s raunchy collaboration, “I Love It.” The music video, which was heavily influenced by the videogame Roblox, debuted at the Pornhub Awards. In the most absurd and explicit fashion, the lyrics spoke of the artists’ sexual nature without any filter. However, Adele Givens’ joke, although also sexually-driven, adds a lighthearted, goofy element.

Despite all of this, the song is a hit. In fact, it broke a record; this video surpassed 75M views, a record previously held by Childish Gambino’s “This is America.” The engineered beat repeated throughout the song is infectious and can certainly get anyone to groove. This beat along with the video game inspired music-video were surefire elements of the song’s success.

I would recommend this song mostly towards young adults. However, to anyone who’s willing to overlook the thoughtless lyrics, you sure are in for a surprise.
