In 2022, the biggest goal I have is to become the best version of myself. This means focusing on both my mental and physical health.
I already work out 3-4 times a week, but I want to start incorporating more fun into my workouts. Whether that means working out with friends or doing a class, my current workout routine is very structured and getting boring, and I want to enjoy my workouts too. For the past few months, I have been taking self-defense lessons, and I want to start focusing on those classes. Additionally, to focus on my physical health, I want to start eating healthier. This does not mean restricting myself from junk food but making sure that I don’t binge eat and incorporating more fruits and vegetables into my meals. I enjoy drinking smoothies and eating acai bowls, so I am hoping to start eating and drinking those for breakfast more often.
As for my mental health, I realized that I need to learn to say “no.” I tend to overwork myself, not giving myself any time to focus on the activities I enjoy. In 2022, I am hoping to balance my schedule more and give myself free time to read, hang out with friends, and just relax. Reading has been my passion for years; however, due to poor time-management skills, I have not read for enjoyment in a long time. I made a list of books that I want to read, and I am hoping to get through all those books in 2022. Also, I want to start meditating and practicing yoga. Many people have recommended that I start doing yoga, so I would love to try it out and see if I enjoy it.
This year has been full of ups and downs, and I am looking forward to the new year. I am excited to start focusing more on myself and discovering who I am and the best version of me.
