Need a Break from Zoom? Movies that can Help

In the age of COVID-19, we are grounded in our rooms listening to Zoom lecture after Zoom lecture, trying to get through the day. Zoom fatigue is real, and it is only natural to feel a sense of burnout. This is why it is vital to take a break and do something you enjoy to keep your spirits up. Here are some fun movies that will brighten your day and keep you going!

1. Talladega Nights

Any Will Ferrel movie is my go-to for a stressful day, but Talladega Nights are my favorite. As a fan of motorsport, I love seeing Ferrel play Rick Bobby, a silly NASCAR driver who struggles to keep his marriage and career together race against a snooty Formula One driver who is played by Sacha Baron Cohen. “Shake ‘n Bake” is one of the most well-known catchphrases in the movie, and there’s plenty more!

2.  Home Alone

As we approach December, I enjoy re-watching some classic holiday favorites. Sit back and grab a snack as you watch a young Macaulay Culkin run around New York trying to escape a duo of greedy thugs. Other Christmas films I love are Elf, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

3.  Knives Out

Who doesn’t like a whodunnit murder mystery? Knives Out is packed with a star-studded cast of Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Toni Collette, Christopher Plummer, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more. This film will keep you on your toes guessing till the end — definitely a good distraction from school!

I hope these movies serve as a way to relax and de-stress from your hectic schedule! Enjoy!
