My Most Productive Morning Routine

Even though I’m a night owl and I like to sleep in, there is something amazing about waking up early and feeling productive.

To feel productive in the mornings, I usually wake up, get ready for the day, and make my bed. Eating a nutritious breakfast also helps with a boost of energy and motivation. I’ve been loving making smoothies, combining several healthy ingredients to start my day. Here’s how to make my current favorite:

  • Add 1 cup of frozen berries
  • One banana
  • 2-3 tbsp of milk (whichever one you prefer)
  • 1-2 tbsp of any nut butter
  • 1-2 tbsp of flax seeds
  • 1 cup of plain or vanilla yogurt (whichever one you prefer)
  • Add ice if needed

Once I’m done with those steps, I like to open up my weekly planner and plan out my day. Writing a To-Do List and being able to check off my accomplishments throughout the day is a big motivator for me.

Because Covid-19 has left little for everyone to do, I also like to use the downtime to go on a walk or complete a workout routine. While I don’t have a specific time in the day in which I work out, fitting in a routine in the morning is great for increasing productivity and overall happiness.

While morning routines can be simple or busy, it’s always great to start it off with a smile and a positive attitude! I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe throughout these unprecedented times.
