Happy July! Summer is one of my favorite seasons, especially when it comes to fashion—the warmer weather just makes it that much more fun when it comes to dressing up! In the cooler months, we tend to focus more on darker colors and layers, but in the warmer months, it’s so refreshing to turn our attention to colorful prints or colors to make a statement. Read on to see some of my favorite patterns for the season!
1. Ditsy Florals
This cute floral print is one of the hottest trends this summer! I’ve been seeing this at just about every retailer and on social media too! There’s just something about the dainty flowers against a bright splash of color that embodies summer perfectly. The best part about this print—it can be work for tops, skirts, or dresses, making it such a versatile print.
2. Vertical Stripes
Stripes are a classic, especially since it gives off the perfect summer nautical vibes. Rather than opting for horizontal stripes, I tend to lean towards vertical ones since they help to elongate the body and give off a more streamlined silhouette. I try to keep a good balance of wide and thin stripes in my wardrobe since this can help me create a lot of different looks.
3. Paisley
I never imagined that I’d one day wear paisley, but there’s just something about this fun print that makes it perfect for the summer. I especially like it in a bright jewel tone, since it can brighten up any outfit.
4. Polka Dots
Polka dots are another classic. I love how fun and quirky they look, especially in a bright color combination like yellow and white or orange and white.
