I’m not a cosmetologist by any means, but with the amount of money that I spend on makeup, you’d think I was one. Every few months, I experiment with my makeup routine and try out new products so for this article I’ll be sharing a list of the makeup items I purchased from my most recent makeup haul!
1. Veil Fluid Makeup Foundation by Hourglass
I’ve sworn by this foundation since the day I bought it. I actually stumbled upon it at Sephora and an employee recommended it so I thought I’d give it a shot. I only need to use a small amount in order to receive maximum coverage and it stays smooth and looks natural throughout the day. It’s a bit on the pricey side ($60), but it lasts for quite a long time and is the best foundation that I have ever used.
2. Airspun Loose Face Powder by Coty
My sister bought this powder before me and, after testing hers, I decided to purchase it since it’s inexpensive ($5) and gets the job done. This baking powder covers my blemishes and under-eye circles. However, I have noticed that it is not fully translucent so using too much of it might cause a significant contrast between your foundation and the areas you used the powder on. If you prefer to cake on your baking powder, I would use a different product but overall, this powder is great if used in moderation.
3. Lip Set by Dose of Colors
This is my all-time favorite brand for lip products. My cousin gifted me one of their products for Christmas and afterward, I decided to purchase this set. Dose of Colors is cruelty-free and offers great products for a solid price.
I purchased their limited edition lip set in Warm Mid Tone Nude and have been loving it. It comes with matte lipsticks, a gloss, and a lip liner so you don’t have to scramble around to find matching colors. It doesn’t dry out my lips or fade throughout the day as I have noticed a lot of other lipsticks to do.
These are by far my current favorite products to use. If you’re looking to expand your beauty items, I would try these out as they may become your favorite too!
