Reading is no doubt my favorite hobby. I’ve been reading ever since I can remember. When I was younger, my mother read books with my sister and me until we were old enough to start reading on our own. There’s never really been a time when I haven’t been reading.
There is nothing I love more than reading a good book. Nothing compares to a book that is so well-written, so compelling, and so exciting that I stay up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it. And those books that wow me so much I want to turn around and read them again as soon as I finish them? Beautiful.
There’s just something intoxicating about getting lost in a different world for hours at a time and letting my imagination go wild. Books aren’t the same as movies or TV shows because we only get one version of the story with those. With books, everyone has their own interpretations and views of the characters and the story, and you might even find that your own ideas about the book change with each reading. Even though the author wrote the story, I always feel that I have a say in it as well with my opinions of the characters and storylines and lessons I learn from it.
Books belong to all of us, and that’s what makes them amazing.
