My Daily Self-Care Routine

Self-care is a vital part of my daily routine. Taking a few minutes out of every day to focus on myself and shut out the world around me is what practically keeps me sane. Everyone has their own forms of self-care that work best for them, so in this article I am going to share what I do in order to take care of myself and my mindset.

First, I start my day with mediation. Before looking at my phone and opening myself up to the outside world, I like to connect with myself and start my day by keeping my thoughts centered. By meditating when I wake up, I have time to control my thoughts and my attitude for the rest of the day. If I don’t have time to meditate in the morning, I’ll meditate before going to bed in order to explore how I felt that day and what happened during it.

Next, I stick to a morning and night skincare regime. This helps me not only feel better about myself at the start and end of the day, but also keeps myself feeling refreshed, especially after a long day.

The last few things that I like to do are make myself a cup of chamomile and lavender tea before I go to bed as it helps me sleep better, and find free time in my day to journal. Journaling helps me learn more about myself and why I do certain things as well as get any emotions out that I don’t want to share with others.

By sticking to a self-care routine, I find that I genuinely feel better about myself and can be the best and most positive version of myself. I recommend that everyone find a few things that they like to do for self-care. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you feel good about yourself!
