Cheers to the new year! This year has been a wild ride, and 2022 is around the corner. A new year is filled with new beginnings, memories, and even a new life for some people.  Like other years, I have had my ups and downs in 2021, and I’m excited to see what’s waiting for me in 2022. As we are approaching 2022, people have started to make their new year’s resolutions and plan their next steps for this fresh start, and so have I! I’m not quite sure what 2022 has in store for me, but I’m going to do everything in my power to make it an amazing year. So, without further ado, here are my 2022 new year’s resolutions:

1. Work out more

I know, this one’s a bit cliche and the reason that the gym is always crowded during the first week of the new year. Now that I finally have time to work out, though, I don’t have room to make excuses, and I can push myself more next year.

2. Start my graduate degree

It’s that time of year when prospective graduate students are impatiently waiting to get into graduate programs, and while getting accepted into a graduate school is officially out of my hands now that I’ve submitted all of my applications, it’s still a resolution of mine!

3. Get my dream job

I have a couple of months to spare before I start a graduate program, so while I wait, one of my resolutions is to work at a book publishing company in a big city.

4. Eat healthier

As much as I love junk food, I want to cut out unhealthy foods as much as possible next year and start treating my body better.

5. Spend more time with my cat

Life can be busy, and this year, I haven’t spent as much time hanging out with my cat as I would have liked. Next year, I want to make sure that I put time aside every day to play and pay attention to my cat no matter how tired or busy I am.
