My 2021 Summer Plans

In many ways, this summer feels refreshing. Not only are we getting ready for days out by the pool and the beach, but with the vaccines comes freedom we haven’t felt in a long time. Even though we’re all ready to get our lives back, we all must still protect ourselves and those around us. Getting the vaccine is the best way to guarantee that we all move forward not only as a country but as a world too.

After knowing that we’re all doing our part to move forward, the fun can begin. Taking trips and fun adventures with family and friends is my first goal this summer. Going on a road trip with a group of friends would be amazing. That includes traveling up the west coast, visiting Las Vegas, or seeing some beautiful national parks like The Grand Canyon or Zion National Park.

However, while I want to meet those bigger summer milestones, I do want to get to some smaller goals as well. Because I’ve been thinking about how important it is to live in the moment and step out of your comfort zone once in a while, I’ve been inspired to do fun and different activities with friends once or twice a week. These could look like making fun Tik Tok videos, waking up to see the sunrise, or taking a long and therapeutic hike.

All these activities will not only allow us to feel rejuvenated from this long year but will get us excited for the future and all it has to offer now that we’re making an effort to put the pandemic behind us.
