Depending on where you live, summer can be extremely hot, which results in humidity and sweat. As someone who lives in a state where it can get up to 120 degrees on a regular summer day, I know how difficult it is to maintain perfect hair. My natural hair is super curly and wavy, so even if I straighten it, it looks like a lion’s mane after spending just a bit of time outside. After spending such a long time taking care of and styling it, it can get annoying for my hair to get frizzy and tangled minutes after stepping outside, so a hair care routine during the summer is a must. If your hair has a mind of its own, too, finding the right products to use during the summer is a lifesaver. Here are some of my favorite hair products that I like to use during summer:
1. Sun Bum – Coconut Argan Oil

This coconut argan oil is one of my favorite products! Regardless of my styling choice–whether I end up straightening my hair or leaving it natural–I use this when my hair is damp and apply it all over. It not only gives me tighter curls, but it keeps my hair from getting frizzy and damaged from the heat of blowdryers, flat irons, and even the sun. This product is good to use if you need to keep your hair moisturized throughout the day too.
2. Sun Bum – Scalp & Hair Mist SPF 30

Here’s another Sun Bum product that I love! Being in the sun tends to dry out my scalp and hair, so I like to use this before leaving the house and after a long day of being outside. It’s one of the only hair products that I’ve found that doesn’t leave my hair and scalp looking greasy.
3. Playa – Endless Summer Spray

If you want to step out with your natural hair or go for beachy waves, this spray does wonders! It makes my curls look styled and gets rid of the frizz. I love using this during summer since my hair is prone to frizzing and getting big in the sun and wind.
4. Olaplex – No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask

This product is one of the best hair masks that I’ve ever used! I leave it on overnight before I wash it, and it keeps my hair from getting dry. This mask makes your hair shine while also keeping it healthy and protected from heat and humidity.
