Motivating Yourself to do More

Motivating yourself to work out, do homework, or start a project you’ve been hoping to start can be difficult sometimes. Now that we’re all staying home it can be even harder to turn the TV off to begin working. However, it’s not impossible.

I find myself motivated when I surround myself with people who inspire me. Oftentimes I will FaceTime friends and work along with them, therefore encouraging each other. For example, working out with friends is great. You get to laugh and talk with each other while getting your exercise done. I also advise you to find workout videos that you enjoy. I have found a channel called Blogilates; there, you’ll find all kinds of workout videos that range from ten to thirty minutes. It has made me motivated to work out, and I don’t dread doing it.

I also find that looking at my favorite social media influencers can motivate me to get up and complete my work. Remind yourself that there is no time like the present to start the things you want or need to get done.

Lastly, set a schedule for yourself so that you can visualize your tasks and outcomes. Write it down and create checkboxes, because we all know how satisfying it is to check those off. I hope after reading this, you can get those tasks done!
