There are so many amazing apps in the world that help us with our day-to-day routines, but one app that I can’t live without is Lifesum!
Lifesum is an app that helps you make conscious decisions towards a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. The app allows you to keep track of your meals throughout the day, as well as your water intake. In addition, Lifesum also helps you keep track of physical activity, so you can build a healthy routine that leads to a better lifestyle. Plus, it’s free! The ‘Premium’ version allows more access to nutritional details, but I find the free version to be pretty comprehensive.
I mainly use Lifesum to keep track of what I eat throughout the day. I’m not on any specific diet, but by physically writing down what I consume, I keep myself from over-indulging in unhealthy foods. The app also helps to analyze each meal’s nutritional value, noting things such as calories, carbs, fat, etc.
The app has different sections where you can enter what you ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it even includes a section for snacks. The best part is that the app works in conjunction with the camera on your smartphone, so you can scan barcodes to get more detailed nutritional information for store-bought items.
While I don’t believe in counting calories, I find that I am more motivated to exercise and make healthier eating choices when I keep track of the food I consume and my physical activity. This app is a great way to maintain a balanced lifestyle, especially if you find yourself mindlessly snacking when you’re not hungry.
