Life Hacks for a Foodie

Here are some of my current favorite life hacks. As a foodie who is busy and all about efficiency, I’ve learned some key life hacks that save you time. Not to worry, these food hacks are still very delicious!

Microwaving eggs – This is a hack I discovered about a year ago. You don’t need a pan nor fire to make eggs. Best of all, the eggs are done in a minute, and there is no mess to clean up either! All you do is beat up an egg, add your ingredients into a mug or a bowl and pop it in the microwave for one minute in 30-second intervals. If you want the eggs scrambled, take it out after the initial 30 seconds, stir with a fork, then put it back in for another 30 seconds.

Adding Xanthan Gum – If you’re someone who is obsessed with smoothie bowls like me, then this is the hack for you! Add a teaspoon of xanthan gum into your smoothie before blending it. The xanthan gum makes the smoothie thick and fluffy, giving it more texture and fullness.

Straw + Strawberry – With strawberry season right around the corner, this hack is sure to come in handy. To hull the strawberry, all you need is a straw. No knife, no cutting board, no mess! Simply stick the straw through the strawberry to hull the top off. That’s it! You’re ready to eat your strawberry!

There’s a lot of food hacks out there, but these are my favorite three. Go give these food hacks a try!
