Let’s Talk Women Empowerment

We’re in 2021, and women are still struggling. Why? Because women are still being underrepresented, not respected, treated unfairly, and taken advantage of. There’s still unequal pay, a tendency to downgrade women’s work, a stigma that “women are less.” Women are still underrepresented in previously designated “men’s work” areas. I have seen first-handedly unequal pay for the same job just because of a gender difference. I have seen women cast out of meetings and lunch groups because they are female – and not male.

Change has to happen. But change can only happen from action. Voices have to be raised, and action has to be taken. You and I – we can both help make a difference. There are many feminism organizations that you can be a part of or donate to. You can participate in rallies and protests in your local community. You can make changes in your workplace. You can help educate people, especially younger children. The simplest thing you can do is start using “she” in place of “he” in conversations. These are all simple and easy ways to help the women’s empowerment movement.

Help make a difference. The time is now to make a change. The time is now to involve women. Women are powerful, and women deserve a chance.
